Title

The Church Is Still Standing

Scripture
The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.
(Acts 4:26)
Devotional
As it was in the first years of the Church, it may be in the last years. There appears to be somewhat of a similarity between the first century Church and the latter-day Church. Many local, New Testament churches are experiencing a book of Acts renewal. Churches are growing and God is moving mightily.
On the other hand, many governments of the world are taking a strong stand against the Lord and against His Christ. Even in America (once a bastion of the faith) many in government, especially the judicial branch of government, are attempting to totally separate her from the God of her fathers. As was said then, let us now pray, "Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness [we] may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy servant Jesus."(1)

Thought For The Night
“God’s plan made a hopeful beginning, but man spoiled his chances by sinning. We trust that the story will end with God’s glory, but at present, the other side’s winning.” Robert Bork, judge and former nominee for the Supreme Court.
