Heaven Rules

Scripture
Inasmuch as they gave the command to leave the stump and roots of the tree, your kingdom shall be assured to you, after you come to know that Heaven rules.
(Daniel 4:26)
Devotional
When Jesus began to preach, He said, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."[43] There is a supreme government; its capital is heaven; its king is the King of kings and its Lord is the Lord of lords. Like all of God's government, there is a plurality of leadership, a manifold orderliness, made up of various orders of angels (messengers), under the ultimate authority of the Most High God. In the original text, the plural is used in the phrase, "Heaven rules." It reads, "The heavens rule." This was done so that Nebuchadnezzar, whose kingdom was governed by satraps, administrators, governors, counselors, treasurers, judges and magistrates,[44] would clearly understand God's ways. It is likewise written so that we would know and understand that the government of the church is also to be a plurality of leadership made up of: apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastors and teachers,[45] that we would know that "Heaven Rules."
