Birds of a Feather...

Scripture
We dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
(2 Corinthians 10:12)
Devotional
There will always be self-proclaimed coveys who compare themselves with themselves. These elite minded flock together measuring their value and worth by their own standard. They are self-willed pigeons that see their understanding as unique and superior to those who are the God given authorities in their nests. Jude describes them as, "Shepherds who feed only themselves."[27] They meet behind closed doors and plan by measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves. They are not wise. The apostle Paul goes on in the following verse and instructs, "We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the field God has assigned to us."[28] Whenever we foolishly measure ourselves by ourselves, our measurements will be out of the field God has assigned to us and we will always fall short.
