Title

Planting and Plucking

Scripture
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven... a time to plant, and a time to pluck what is planted.
(Ecclesiastes 3:1&2b)
Devotional
There are starters and there are finishers, but a man who is both, "there is laid up... the crown of righteousness."[32] Most entrepreneurs are starters. They are planters. Few pluck what they planted. Therefore many with the stamina and endurance to finish, reap the harvest of the planter. There is a time for adventurous dreams goals and ideas and there is a time to labor in these fields: watering, weeding tilling and harvesting. With all due respect, dreams, goals and ideas are cheap, even great ideas. But the man or woman who labors at them and endures setbacks, disappointments and hardships will in due time pluck what has been planted. By all means dream and think with an entrepreneurial spirit. Then focus with enthusiasm and passion on that which God directs. There is a time to plant those dreams and goals, but there must be a time to pluck what has been planted.
