Has God Sent You His Prophet?
Scripture
He did evil in the sight of the Lord his God, and did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, who spoke from the mouth of the Lord.

Devotional
Zedekiah was given the word of the Lord through the prophet of God and he failed to heed it. In every generation there are those whom are sent to speak forth the mind of God, prophets whose jobs are to instruct God's people in the ways of the Lord. In our day they are mainly the preachers of our churches, men whom God has raised up to speak to a local New Testament body of believers. Yet, like Zedekiah, the church does not humble themselves before the prophets, who speak from the mouth of the Lord. This does not have to be so among you. Learn to listen to the preaching of the Word of the Lord with an ear that leans toward obedience. Listen humbly, willing to submit yourself to those who speak the truths of God's Word. God sends preachers so that we will believe, hear, obey and change. God gives us preachers to increase our faith. Has God sent you a prophet? Are you willing to he hear or are you like Zedekiah?
