We Cannot Make Christ King

When Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone.

Jesus was and is not a king by the appointment of men; He is the king by the anointing of God. All man can do is recognize that He is the king. As ancient Israel wanted a human king (God gave them Saul), mankind has attempted to make Christ a human king. The Jews at the time of Christ were not seeking God, but a type of David as their king
