Title

There Are Things Yet To Be Seen

Scripture
The Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
(Genesis 39:21)
Devotional
You cannot keep God’s man down. From being betrayed and hated by his brothers, to being unjustly thrown into prison, God never forsook Joseph; and He will never forsake you. In our limited understanding and vision, we do not see the big picture that God has in store for us. Joseph certainly did not. He did not know that he was not going to die at his brothers’ hands. He did not know that he would be the leader of Potiphar’s house. He did not know that he would be released from prison and be the leader of the nation of Egypt. He did not know that he would save the lives of Israel. Therefore, when you find yourself in a situation that you do not understand, that you see no way out of, remember there are things yet to be known and yet to be seen. Hold on to your integrity. Hold on to your faith. Remember Joseph. Keep on dreaming. Keep on believing. Keep on hoping. God has a plan for you.

Questions To Ponder
Morning Study Guide
Definition: The mercy of God does not always get us out of trying situations, but gives us the grace to go through them.

Reference: “God had brought Daniel into the favor and goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs,” Daniel 1:9

Application: Do not measure the potential end result by your present apparent circumstances. Remember, “We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose,” Romans 8:28
