Title

Are You Prospering?

Scripture
“...and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.”
(2 Chronicles 26:5)
Devotional
The road to prosperity is not seeking success, but seeking the will of God. Instead of asking, “What can I do to prosper?” We are to simply ask, “Lord what would you have me to do?”
Instead of only reading success books, we should read, study, and live out the greatest book ever written on success, the Bible. Instead of only listening to motivational speakers, we should seek out and listen to the Spirit-filled preaching of God’s Word. Likewise, instead of constantly thinking and worrying about our endeavors, take them to the Lord in prayer. Become a praiser and worshipper of God instead of a praiser and worshipper of men. If you believe that I am wrong, let me ask you, “Are you prospering?” Are you prospering financially, emotionally, and spiritually? How about your marriage and family? King Uzziah sought God in the days of Zechariah, “And as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.”

Thought For The Day
“What is your ambition in life today? Is it to get rich? Is it to make a name for yourself? Is it even to do some wonderful thing for God? Listen to me, beloved. The highest desire that can possess any human heart is a longing to see God.” J. Vernon McGee, (1904-1988) is best known for his “Thru the Bible” radio programs
