Title

We Can Count On His Promises

Scripture
Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass.
(Joshua 21:45)
Devotional
The promises of God are irrefutable. They may not come according to man's timing, but they will always be on time. "For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."[21] When God makes a promise to bless us we can consider ourselves blessed. When He promise to chastise, we can consider ourselves corrected. With regard to the later, because of His great mercy, He is more apt to relent. True repentance will turn about the chastisement of the Lord. However with regard to the "good thing" which the Lord has spoken, all will come to pass. We can be assured that every word of God will be fulfilled. Every prophecy, every promise and every "good thing" will come to pass. From God's promise to forgive and His promise to save, all will come to pass. And from the promise of heaven to the promise of eternal life, again, all will come to pass.
