Title

Do You See What You See?

Scripture
I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it.
(Luke 10:24)
Devotional
I may be taking a liberty here, but I believe that these words Jesus spoke to the disciples are as applicable today as they were then, if not more so. For the next eighteen hundred years after these words were spoken there was little change in the world with regard to how people lived. However, in my lifetime, let alone the previous century, the changes in the way we live have been unprecedented. We live in the greatest of times. The ability to spread the gospel has never been equaled. The harvest field has never been riper. Even though we do not know the day or the hour, the return of Christ is eminent. The events of the world are of Biblical proportion. From wars and rumors of wars, to the pestilence of the aids virus, the scriptures are being fulfilled.[12] Of these times, Jesus said, "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."[13]
