Have you ever taken something that did not belong to you? I'll venture to say that you have. Note that the Commandment did categorize stealing from petty thefts to grand larcenies. Therefore from the seemingly insignificant to the apparent grand, we are not to take without proper permission that which does not belong to us. Whether dealing with tangible property, intangible ideas, words or affections, we are not permitted to take possession of another's assets
