Title

Preserved, No Embalmed

Scripture
Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
(Psalm 16:2)
Devotional
To be preserved by God is not to be bottled and placed in a pantry. God preserves by keeping His investment pure and free to do His bidding. We are to be preserved for work not just heaven. There will be some that will mistake God's preservation as being embalmed. We are preserved for life, not death. If we truly have placed our trust in God we will manifest that trust by not only occupying until He comes, but by taking dominion over His creation. This is the purpose of being preserved. When God preserves, He keeps us safe in life's battles. We have been preserved to accomplish great and mighty exploits, and to have life and have it abundantly. Therefore, let us live our lives to the fullest, demonstrating our trust in God's preservation. Let us not just react to life, but let us peruse it wholly trusting that we are being preserved for that purpose.
