The Power of The "And"

Scripture
Woe to you
(Matthew 23:23)
Devotional
It is not either, or in God's kingdom, but rather all the counsel of God that is required. We are not to pick and choose which commands to obey. We are to obey every command of God for our lives. It is good to give, but Jesus said that we are also to live justly, showing mercy and doing so by faith. This is the full counsel of God. Let us be careful not to neglect any of God's perfect will for our lives. Stay faithful with regard to tithing. Remember "The tithe is the Lord's"[6] Live justly by being honest and equitable in all your dealings. Show the same mercy that God has shown you. Consider the words of the apostle James, "Judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment."[7] And above all, let all that we do be done by faith, for without faith, it is impossible to please God.[8]
