Title

When God Says, "Enough!"

Scripture
But the Lord was angry with me on your account, and would not listen to me. So the Lord said to me: "Enough of that! Speak no more to Me of this matter."
(Deuteronomy 3:26)
Devotional
Moses longed to see the Promised Land, but God said "No." There comes a time in our lives when God's final answer will be "No." At that time, all that is left for us to do is trust him and ask no more. In 2 Corinthians 12:8-9, the apostle Paul said of his request, "I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me." And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Once God says, "Enough," that is enough; we are not to ask anymore. All that remains is "Grace," and that grace is sufficient. Moses did not get to see the Promised Land of earth, but we know that he saw it in heaven. Likewise, the apostle Paul's thorn in the flesh was not removed until he again saw the Lord face to face. "No" is an answer to prayer. It may not be the answer we desire, however, if it comes, it will always be the answer we need.
