He Simply Is

Scripture
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.
(Proverbs 15:3)
Devotional
The Psalmist has likewise said, "Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?"[1] The answer is, "nowhere." God not only knows and sees all that we do, He cares. He knows our coming and going. He knows our thoughts and emotions. Because He dwells in eternity He is not relegated by space and time. He simply is. He is everywhere at all times. He is present in the future as well as in history. His name is "I am."[2] In the book of Revelation He is the one, "Who is and who was and who is to come."[3] You and I are governed by time and space; the Creator of the universe is not. God hovers over eternity seeing and knowing everything simultaneously. He in chorus sees our lives from beginning to end. What wonderful assurance we are to have knowing that God is always with us—unless we are not where He would have us to be or doing what He would have us to do.
