Is Life A Sacrifice or A Delight?

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.
(Proverbs 15:8)
Devotional
Here we have the difference between man's religion and faith in God through Christ. The religion of man is based on man's sacrifice to God. A relationship with God is based on Christ's sacrifice for man. It is wicked to think that man could sacrifice enough to find the redemptive favor of his Creator. It is upright to know that, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus."[1] When we surrender ourselves to Christ and accept His sacrifice, even our prayers are a delight to Him. If you are living a "Do" and "Don't" religion, stop and start living a "Done" relationship with God through Christ. Delight yourself in the Lord, for He delights in you. Accept His sacrifice for you and present yourself as a living sacrifice to Him.
