Devotional
This last verse of the last chapter of the book of Proverbs sums up not only the life of a virtuous woman, but also the fruit of the book itself. The purpose of the proverbs is that God's people would bear the fruit of righteous living. These practical guidelines for living are every bit as applicable today as the day they were written. When rightly applied they bring successful works and praises from those who both hear and do them. I would hope that all of us desire to find success in whatever endeavors we are called. These thirty-one chapters of the book called Proverbs are more than filled with the means by which we are to function and do the commerce of life. From learning to be an obedient son or daughter to becoming successful in business and marriage, these verses will guide you as you seek life's manifold endeavors. "Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, and give attention to know understanding; for I give you good doctrine."[1]
