Title

Unless We Forget

Scripture
Bind them continually upon your heart; tie them around your neck.
(Proverbs 6:21)
Devotional
We need constant reminders—memorials to what we know to be good and profitable. If we do not practice the things we know to do, those things will eventually wane and fad from sight. Therefore we need a continual prompting from within and without. We need to make our godly heritage a deep-seated part of our being. Furthermore, we need external reminders incase we grow cold of heart and begin to forget who we are in Christ. Better than a necklace or pendent is the constant reminder that is found in the fellowship of the believers—the local New Testament church. Get committed to the work of the body of Christ. This is done only through the realm of faithful involvement—having and consistently doing a ministry. Whether it is teaching a Sunday school class or visiting the sick or numerous other ministry opportunities, “Bind them continually upon your heart; tie them around your neck.”
