Title

Wise In Wisdom, Simple In Sin

Scripture
Your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.
(Romans 16:19)
Devotional
Obedience is based on the good that we do, not the froward. When we are obedient to those in authority over us, and we all have authorities in our lives, we make them glad. And when we please the leadership in our lives we are blessed and prosper. However, the only way we can be obedient is by doing what is good and right. We must be about the task of thinking and doing only those things that are wholesome and right. Therefore it is good not to know evil, to avoid the tabloid mentality of our day. It is good not to know how to commit crimes and offenses. We do not need to know about the illegal and illicit. It is good to be ignorant about the sinful deeds of the flesh and wise concerning the deeds of the Spirit. Why learn about the counterfeit when there is so much to learn about the real thing?
