You've Got Good News

Scripture
Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter… will He not render to each man according to his deeds?
(Proverbs 24:11-12)
Devotional
Jude says it this way, "On some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire."[1] If someone were drowning, would you at least throw him or her a life preserver? If your family were in harm's way, would you not at least warn them? How much more should we attempt to deliver those who are headed for eternal destruction? That is exactly where those without Christ are being drawn. Won't you hold them back? Won't you do your level best to get them to Christ? Our text says that God will render to us according to our deeds. Therefore, we are to at least tell people what we know. Any of us can invite them to church or give them a gospel tract. We are in essence told by the prophet Ezekiel,[2] that if we fail to warn the lost, we bare the blame, but if we tell them, we have done all that we can do.
