Title

Reasoning With God

Scripture
"Come now, and let us reason together, Says the Lord, Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool."
(Isaiah 1:18)
Devotional
Think about God's challenge to you and me, "Let us reason together." Lets talk about your sins. Lets discuss the way you've been living, the things you've been doing and the thoughts you've had. When was the last time you had this discussion with your Creator? When was the last time you confessed your sins to Him? We often get so busy with life and so caught up in our needs that we neglect the awesome privilege we have to consider with God the ways of our doings. The New Testament parallel to our text has to be 1 John 1:9-10, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us."[1] Therefore let us talk with God about our troubles. Open up to Him; be candid. He has a way of cleaning up our lives. Talk to Him.
