Title

Covenant Keepers

Scripture
He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations.
(Psalm 105:8)
Devotional
We serve a covenant making and a covenant keeping God. Every relationship that He chooses to inter is by way of covenant. He made a covenant with Noah,[1] Abraham[2] and David.[3] He likewise made a covenant with creation[4] and a covenant of redemption.[5] A covenant is a binding agreement between two or more parties. The difference between a man made covenant and a divine covenant is that the divine covenant is a mandate without appeal. When God makes a covenant with His creation He will forever uphold His word. Therefore we are to be a covenant making and a covenant-keeping people. Whether a covenant of marriage or a covenant of a handshake, our word is to be our bond. Whether it is a signed contract or a simple "yes" or "no," again we are to be a people of our word, because we serve a God of His Word.
