Title

Dealing With False Accusations

Scripture
Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight.
(Proverbs 26:2)
Devotional
Those of whom we may speak evil or those who may speak evil of us unjustly have little or no affect. At best false accusations will only flutter and fall. Therefore let us be slow to receive an accusation against another, and slower to make one. Always remember, there will always be at least one thing we do not know about any given situation. Our carnal judgment will always be flawed. Likewise, be slow to defend yourself against the false accusations of others. And never return them. If the accusation is true and merits a response admit it, clarify it and if need be repent of it. If the accusation is false, be accountable, deny it and go on with your life to the best of your ability. Never forget, God knows the truth of any and all situations. He knows the liar and the reality. Always hold on to your integrity, no matter what the accuser of the brethren may charge. If it is false, it will not alight.
