Title

A Sure Foundation

Scripture
Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel according to the revelation of the mystery according to the commandment for obedience to the faith.
(Romans 16:25-26)
Devotional
The natural inclination of man is to seek security. Before we can be secure, we have to be first of all established. For one to be established they must have a foundation, something immovable on which to stand. Without a firm foundation, security is sought in vain. There is only one true foundation, Jesus Christ and His Word. As the old hymn says, “All other ground is sinking sand.” Whether you are building a relationship, a family, a business or a church, you must build on the foundation according to the gospel of Christ. God will establish you according to His gospel, the revelation of the Word and through your obedience to the faith. There are no shortcuts. There is no other foundation. Therefore, if you find yourself insecure, check out your foundation. If it is cracked, it is not built on Christ. If you are established on Christ then build accordingly.
Thought For The Night
“The foundation of our marriage is our commitment to Christ. People may make fun of us or call us old-fashioned, but we won't apologize for our beliefs or our lifestyle because we feel like the only person we have to please is God.” Basketball player, Mark Price
