Title

May The Righteous Celebrate

Scripture
When the righteous rejoice, there is great glory; but when the wicked arise, men hide themselves.
(Proverbs 28:12)
Devotional
May I paraphrase our text? When good prevails, good people celebrate, but when wickedness prevails people hide in fear. September 11, 2001, it appeared as if wickedness prevailed and what followed was men hiding in fear. People immediately became afraid to fly in airplanes or travel to large cities. People stayed in their homes nearly destroying the economy. Why, because the wicked arose. Thank God that we have a remnant of the righteous in our land. Thank God that we have a believing, God fearing president. Let us always pray that the righteous are able to rejoice and that the wicked would fall in their wickedness. And let God's people do as He directed when He said, "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land."[3]
