Scheduled Prayer

Scripture
Seven times a day I praise You, because of Your righteous judgments.
(Psalm 119:164)
Devotional
Most of us have a hard time praying seven minutes a day, let alone seven times a day. The reason being is that most folks are just not disciplined enough to set specific times aside for the purpose of communing with God. Allow me to give a little guidance in the matter. There are certain tings we do every day that can prompt prayer. Most of us eat at least three times a day. Pray before you eat. We all go to sleep and we all awaken. Pray yourself to seep and pray before you get up. Already we have five times a day when we can pray. The final two are more difficult. May I suggest, instead of always listening to the radio, a tape or CD in you car, pray. When you arrive at work or are about to begin a task, stop and pray. There we have seven times a day. They key is using events that we do on a consistent basis to trigger a time of prayer. O by the way, the psalmist said, "Seven time a day I will praise You."
