From whom do you receive your counsel? Who’s truth do you follow? We are so quick to believe those who are called experts. We follow the crowd that follows the fads. From diets to clothing; furniture to music; and from philosophy to religion, we are a very fickle people. When we follow the counsel of the ungodly, we follow a foundationless counsel. Therefore, we are to seek wise counsel. We are to seek counsel from the godly. We are to seek counsel from those who delight in the Lord. The best and clearest counsel comes from the Word of God, the Bible. Read it. Learn it. Study it. Whether in business, family, health, or politics, go to the Word of the Lord for wise counsel. Find those who have succeeded in a godly manner. Submit to them as they submit to the Word of the Lord.
