Who Is This?

Scripture
And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?”
(Matthew 21:10)
Devotional
When Christ is clearly and openly proclaimed in His Church, the cities in which the church resides will be moved to say, “Who is this?” The church that is making a difference in a community is the church that is exalting and worshipping Christ---unashamedly. Whenever the church does what the church is supposed to do, the community will respond as it is supposed to respond---that is, with wonder and amazement. Let the Church not be arrogant and haughty, but let it unashamedly, with all humility, proclaim Christ.

When Christ is evident in a local New Testament body of believers, there will be a difference in the people. There will be a contagious zeal and excitement. Joy will be the hallmark of such a body. That church will then hear, “Who is this? Who has caused this joy?” “Who has changed these lives?” “Who has brought healing to these marriages, to these families and to these lives?” The answer will simply be, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.”(1)
