Title

Look For Answered Prayer

Scripture
Blessed be the Lord, because He has heard the voice of my supplications!
(Psalm 28:6)
Devotional
He hears us, He knows our needs, and we are never ignored. Therefore, He is, by all means, worthy of our praise, adoration, thanksgiving, and worship. The silence of God does not mean that He does not hear us, but that we do not hear Him. I am convinced that God answers every prayer. The problem arises when we ignore the answer. Many of our prayers are answered before we pray them.
God’s will is clearly revealed in His Word. When we fail to heed the written Word of God, how can we hear the spoken Word of God? We fail to heed counsel; we disregard preaching; we violate our consciences and then wonder why God doesn’t answer our prayers. When we pray, let us heed the Lord when He said, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”(1) Humbly pray, always looking for His answer, realizing that it may have already come and we simply missed it.
