His Throne Is Sure

The Lord sat enthroned at the flood, and the Lord sits as King forever.

Devotional
Catastrophes, wars, disasters and troubles of any kind do not interrupt the sovereignty of God. The Lord God is never taken by surprise. The trials and tribulations of the world cannot dethrone Him. Our God is never in a panic. He is never taken off guard. When our lives are filled with fear, anxieties, or apprehension, we can be assured that our God is in control. When you feel as if you are all alone and that nobody cares or can help, the Lord God is at work from His throne, the place of His dominion. He rules the universe. He cares immensely for you and your needs. Isaiah says, “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” (1) We are never to fear. God is in control and He is on our side. Therefore, when you find yourself in the depths of despair and you are filled with fright, remember “The Lord sat enthroned at the flood, and the Lord sits as King forever.”
