Title

Willing Obedience

Scripture
If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.
(Isaiah 1:19)
Devotional
Two key words to prosperity: willing and obedient. Those who walk in both will prosper at whatever they place their hand. God’s Word will hold true. We must first of all be willing, willing to work as the commandment says, “Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work”(1) Few if anyone prospers working a forty-hour week. We are to have a willingness to work and the wisdom to rest. Working hard is not enough; there are many people who work hard but accomplish little; the reason being, a lack of obedience. Many good intentioned folks are working very hard, but going in the wrong direction. Let us therefore learn obedience. We are first and foremost to obey God. We are likewise to obey the God given authorities in our lives. The wise man and woman will find them and obey them willingly.
