Believing Is Seeing

Scripture
Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
(John 11:40)
Devotional
The adage, “Seeing is believing” in today’s technology holds no water. With the advent of computerized imaging and the trickery of science, you cannot always believe what you see. Most things are not as they appear. What you see is not necessarily what you get. However, in Christ believing is seeing. This is the working of faith. The writer of Hebrews said it this way, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” It is easy to believe in things we can see. Yet, these things often deceive us. Jesus said, believe Me, and I will show you things that have never been seen. When we believe Christ, He is then able to bring our dreams and visions to fulfillment. God desires to show us His glory. That is, He wants us see through the eyes of faith. He says, believe, and I will show you.
