Title

God’s Partiality

Scripture
Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality."
(Acts 10:34)
Devotional
God is impartial to all except one, Christ. To those who are willing to receive Christ as Savior, He shows no partiality. To those who reject Christ, He likewise shows no partiality in judgment. God is impartial in saving and He is impartial in condemning. He, without partiality, saves those who come to Christ and rejects those who reject Christ. God is impressed with only one, Christ. It is Christ in us that makes the difference between the righteous and the unrighteous. It is not a matter of deeds or works, but of the one who does the deeds and works in us. God is no respecter of persons. He is not impressed by any of man's innate abilities or acquired strengths. He is only impressed with His Son. Without Christ, we are aliens... and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. (1) On the other hand, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."(2)
