Title

We Have Been Graced

Scripture
Who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
(1 Corinthians 4:7)
Devotional
We are all made in the image of God; we are His creation. When He sent His Son to redeem fallen man, He had you and me in mind. Therefore, there can be no boasting in our salvation; it is a gift of God. We cannot boast in what God has made of us. There can be no boasting in whatever measure of righteousness we may have received. All that we have and all that we will ever be has, “Come down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of His own will He bring us forth by the word of truth.”(1) All we can do is give thanks. We cannot judge others nor can we exalt ourselves as if we have achieved anything on our own. We individually belong to Christ; we are not our own; we have been bought with a price; therefore, let us glorify God in every realm and aspect of our lives.
