Title

Be Content, But Never Satisfied

Scripture
Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.
(Proverbs 27:20)
Devotional
Just as the Destroyer never stops attempting to destroy, likewise are the eyes of the lustful never satisfied. To be satisfied is to have the senses appeased. To be content on the other hand is to have the soul and spirit pleased. Satisfaction is a temporary state, while contentment is a state of mind.
Indulgences such as debt shopping, overeating, and sexual promiscuities satisfy, but only for a season. Contentment accepts delayed gratification, moderation and that which is honorable. Satisfaction seeks happiness. Contentment has joy. Satisfaction takes. Contentment gives. Satisfaction strives for its destination. Contentment enjoys the journey. Those who constantly pursue satisfaction are never content. The content are never satisfied; that is why the content reach and surpass their dreams and goals.
