The Guide of the Mind

Scripture
I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience...
(2 Timothy 1:3)
Devotional
The conscience, for the most part, is a wonderful indicator of right and wrong. The problem arises when we continually ignore it. The apostle also instructed Timothy, “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared...”(1)
If we continually ignore our consciences, they will in turn cease to warn us. Therefore, do not disregard the guide of your mind, the conscience. If it says that you have wronged someone, make it right. If it indicates any amount of guilt, heed its warning. The purpose of our conscience is to keep and make things right in our lives.
Does you conscience bother you? Listen to it. There is most likely something you have to correct in your life. Spend a little time with your conscience. Make a list of its guidance, and keep it clear.
