Title

“Abba, Father!”

Scripture
Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba. Father!”
(Galatians 4:6)
Devotional
We are more than His creation. We are more than citizens. We are more than members of His body the Church. We are sons and daughters of the most high God. We are children of the King. We are endeared to Him and He to us. We can call on Him as a child calls on a loving parent. We can say, “Abba. Father!” Abba is both a term of intimacy as well as respect. It is to be used often, lovingly and honestly. We are to call on our Heavenly Father as an obedient child calls on the counsel and leading of a loving parent. We are to realize that we have been adopted because we are loved. “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs - heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.”(1) Because of the Son and through the Spirit we can call on the God and say “Abba, Father!”
