Title

Am I Walking or Stumbling?

Scripture
For the ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.
(Hosea 14:9)
Devotional
Two people can walk the same path of life; one will stumble the other will walk sure. Why? What makes one person succeed and another flounder at the same endeavor? Why do some marriages work and others fail? What is the difference between true success and failure? The answer is clear. Our text exposes two types of people, the righteous and the transgressor. It also says that there is one path, “the ways of the Lord.” Herein is the key to walking and stumbling. The righteous are those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and seek to obey Him. The transgressors are those without either Christ or obedience, or both. It takes both the presence of Christ and obedience to Christ to walk in His ways without stumbling. Therefore, the key to successful walking is both knowing Christ and obeying Him. Without these, prepare to stumble.
