Title

The Darker the Night, The Brighter the Light

Scripture
Unto the upright there arises light in darkness
(Psalm 112:4)
Devotional
Our uprightness of the believer is firmly established in the uprightness of Christ. Therefore for those who are in Christ, there will always arise light. Even in the darkest of days the light of the gospel of Christ illuminates our lives. Into every life darkness falls. There will always be the darkness of sickness, various losses, financial troubles, and ultimately death. Nevertheless, with Christ there will always be light. Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but the light of life.” What a wonderful promise. No matter how dark your life may be, Jesus promises the “Light of life.” He likewise says, “You are the light of the world.” Therefore, we need never be afraid of the dark. Christ is always there to light our way. Even in the darkest of nights, His light will shine brightly.
