Title

Repairer of the Breach

Scripture
You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach.
(Isaiah 58:12)
Devotional
Psalm 11:3 says, “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Unless the present generation teaches and confirms the foundation on which our faith and morality are built, that foundation will be destroyed in a generation.
I am afraid that for many it is too late. A generation exists that does not know the God of their fathers. There is a breach between this generation and the generation that knew their God. Therefore, this generation needs a Repairer of the Breach. Godly men and women must rise up who are not ashamed to proclaim the everlasting gospel of Christ. In the market place, in the courtroom, in the halls of governments, someone must begin to repair the breach. Someone must stand up and say: Enough! Turn, turn from your ways and seek the God of your fathers. Will you be a Repairer of the Breach?

Thought For The Day

“On my door there’s a cartoon of two turtles. One says, ‘Sometimes I’d like to ask why he allows poverty, famine, and injustice when he could do something about it.’ The other turtle says, ‘I'm afraid God might ask me the same question.’” Peter John Kreeft, quoted by Lee Strobel, The Case for Faith (Zondervan, 2001).
