The Road to Travel

Then he said to Him, "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here."
(Exodus 33:15)
Devotional
We, like Moses, need to understand that if God is not with us on our life's journey, we are better off not to go forward at all. We mistakenly move and expect God to follow. On the contrary, we are to be still until God moves, and then we are to follow Him. To go where God does not lead is to travel the road of failure. Let us realize that we cannot get ahead of God, we can only get away from His guidance. How foolish of us to think that we can go it alone. No matter how inviting a road may appear, unless God is traveling it, we would be more than wise not to move at all. One thing for sure, there is a road to travel. There is a way to go. And Jesus said. "I am the way...…”[1] Let us be followers of the way. Let us be quick to move ahead when God is moving and slow to move when He is not. His way is the highway of success.
