Title

It Is Time To Scatter

Scripture
There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty.
(Proverbs 11:24)
Devotional
There are givers and takers in life. The givers will prosper and the takers will vanish. Givers enjoy life's journey. Takers never arrive. Givers are loved while takers are despised. Givers are interested in the well- being of others while takers only know about themselves. Givers ask sincere questions, takers think that they have all the answers. Givers succeed; takers fail. Givers are workers; takers are complainers. Givers believe "And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"[1]

Which are you?  Oftentimes, takers do not realize that they are takers,  Listen to yourself.  Are your conversations mainly about yourself and your needs?  Are you constantly warring with those close to you?  Are your financial obligations overwhelming?  You may unwittingly be a taker.  It may be time to scatter.  Practice purposeful giving and escape your poverty.
