Title

Know When To Show Them

Scripture
A prudent man conceals knowledge, but the heart of fools proclaims foolishness.
(Proverbs 12:23)
Devotional
Those with a know-it-all attitude tell it all, and in a short time reveal their limited knowledge. The wise, on the other hand, conceal their knowledge until a proper time. It is not that they are attempting to deceive, but that they know when to speak and when to refrain from speaking, they simply work at saying the right things at the right time. The prudent never spew their words, they gate them. Whether in business or relationships, in casual conversation or negotiations, prudent speech will always serve us well. We must learn to know when to hold our words and when to show them. We are to never allow them to flow unrestrained, but with measure and certainty. As the adage goes, "Let us count our words and make our words count." Here is the knowledge of the prudent and the folly of the foolish. In the metaphorical game of life, be slow to show your hand.
