Title

Enduring Life’s Footmen

Scripture
If you have run with footmen, and they have wearied you. then how can you contend with horses.
(Jeremiah 12:5)
Devotional
A wonderful byproduct of patience is endurance. Patience is simply the ability to remain constant and endurance is the ability to continue in that consistency. Godly patience is the ability to remain godly in the presence of ungodliness. This, more than often, takes endurance. If we are able to endure in the small afflictions of life we will be able to endure life’s great difficulties. It is all a matter of choice. When you are able to remain the same in the little annoyances, you will not be overcome by true tribulations. The best place to train for the endurance race of life is in the home. Be patient with your spouse and children. This does not mean that you endure sin and ungodliness. However, it does mean that you deal with them patiently. When dealing with those things that push you to impatience, there must be a fixed range of emotions. There is no room for ranting and raving, cursing and yelling. There is only room for patience and endurance.
