Title

I'll Do It His Way

Scripture
The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but He loves him who follows righteousness.
(Proverbs 15:9)
Devotional
The way of the wicked must be the way of anarchy. The way of the righteous is the way of God. Here we have the difference between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of man—the government of God and the government of man. “I did it my way,” might have been a famous song, but it is an infamous way of life. Even though it is popular with man, it is an abomination to the Lord. It is the way of the wicked. “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”[1] God has revealed to us His way and will for our lives. These by far do not stymie individuality, talents or dreams; they enhance them. The ways of God more than help us accomplish visions, goals, dreams and desires; they show us how to accomplish them. To follow the Lord for no other reason than to find His favor is sufficient. Yet, here is what I know, He likewise prospers those who do so.
