Title

A Heart And Tongue Alignment

Scripture
He who has a deceitful heart finds no good, and he who has a perverse tongue falls into evil.
(Proverbs 17:20)
Devotional
We cannot connive, cheat or manipulate our way into true success. Those who have tried or even attained an appearance of success by these methods have done so to their demise. They have no joy and their hope is quickly diminished. Likewise with those whose hearts may be right, but their mouths are perverse. These are those who exploit the truth. They are masters of partial truths. What they say is almost correct. They may be sincere, but they are sincerely wrong. They fall into evil. Therefore, if the deceitful heart does not find good, then the honest heart will find it. And if the perverse tongue falls into evil, the truthful tongue climbs to true success. Godliness is not complex, and gives a great reward. Sin is complex, and will always pay negative dividends. Let us get a proper alignment between our hearts and our mouths.
