Title

Mercy Grants Grace

Scripture
Oh, give thanks to the LORD for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
(Psalm 118:29)
Devotional
Thankful people are happy people. Those who realize that the Lord God is more than worthy of our thanks are rich in His blessings. They understand that He is good, and that He is good all the time. Even during times without understanding they know that He is working all things together for the good.
Furthermore, the thankful recognize the mercies of the Lord. They are thankful because they know that they do not receive what they deserve. God in His mercy grants grace. Instead of due judgment, He shows mercy. Instead of just condemnation, He demonstrates His mercy, and the mercy He gives, He gives forever. He will never repent of that mercy. It is sure and it is eternal. When an infraction falls under the mercy of God, it is removed, never to be accounted for again. It is for this reason that He is more than worthy of our thanks. “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
