Title

Nevertheless We Can Trust Him

Scripture
Thus says the Lord to me: “Make for yourself bonds and yokes, and put them on your neck.”
(Jeremiah 27:2)
Devotional
We may not always understand the directions of the Lord or His ways, but we surely can trust Him. We are called to an obedient faith. There will be times that we will not understand why the Lord is having us do certain things or suffer particular trials, nevertheless we can trust Him.
How would you have liked to have been Jeremiah? No wonder he is called the weeping prophet. Can you imagine being called to speak to a people who you knew would not only reject your words but also abuse and imprison you? Nevertheless, God knew the end result, and Jeremiah was rewarded for his obedience. Most likely, we will never be called to the level of Jeremiah’s obedience. However, to whatever level God does call us, let us walk in obedience to His calling. We may not understand, but we can surely trust Him.

Thought For The Day
“Faith for my deliverance is not faith in God. Faith means, whether I am visibly delivered or not, I will stick to my belief that God is love. There are some things only learned in a fiery furnace.” Oswald Chambers, (1874-1917),  converted under Charles Haddon Spurgeon,
