Title

The Influential Need the Lord

Scripture
I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.
(Psalm 119:46)
Devotional
Reach one person and you have reached that person and those whom he or she may have influence. Reach the king and you reach the nation. By all means, we are to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone. There is to be no respecter of persons. Nevertheless, when we reach a leader, we reach, or at least, influence the followers of that leader. Therefore, never be ashamed to speak the testimonies of God to anyone, no matter what their status, rank, or position.

Who you are in Christ is eternal; who they are in the world is temporal. They are lost. You are a child of the Creator of the universe. You are the King’s kid. They do not know God; you have a personal relationship with Him. They may have temporal wealth; you have eternal riches. Without arrogance, pride, or haughtiness, you are somebody. You have the knowledge of the Son of God. From the most famous to the richest, people need the Lord; and you have the answer.
Thought For The Night

My life shall touch a dozen lives before this day is done;
Leave countless marks for good or ill, ere sets the evening sun.
This is the wish I always wish, the prayer I always pray:
Lord, may my life help other lives it touches by the way. - Unknown

Defining: “Influence”: the power of one body over another. The moon influences the tides, the tides influence the shore—So does one man influence others.

Referencing: “I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority,” Timothy 2:1-2.

Applying: You have influence; the question is, “how are you using it?”
