Title

Fear, Obey and Trust

Scripture
Who among you fears the Lord? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely upon his God.
(Isaiah 50:10)
Devotional
Fear, obedience and trust are the keystones of the believer. Fear, the beginning of wisdom is essential to obedience. Think about the reverential fear you may have had for your parents, a teacher or coach. It more than likely kept you on a straight and narrow road. It caused you to be obedient. After your obedience, again, you most likely learned a few things. You learned that they knew more than you and were able to teach you how to succeed. By your obedience you learned to trust them. The same principles apply, even more so, to the things of God. Are you walking in a dark place? Is the light of your understanding dim? Heed the words of Isaiah and fear your God, Obey His Son and trust Him with all your heart. He will deliver you from your present darkness. Fear, obey and trust Him. He will by no means disappoint you.
